Dwayne Gomes is in his fourth year at Ryerson University where he is studying in the field of Electrical Engineering and plans on graduating in 2020. Dwayne worked at AMD from 2018-2019 as a Silicon Design Engineer Co-op for 16 months under the PDK & Physical Verification team. From his co-op, he was able to gain experience in the cutting-edge technology processes that drives modern electronics. Dwayne has experience with electronic industry design tools such as Cadence, Calibre, SKILL, HSPICE. Dwayne has also worked under Dr. Hussein from Ryerson University's Electrical Engineering faculty as a research assistant in 2017 where he took part in collecting lightning data for his work regarding CN Tower lightning strikes. Dwayne plans on working in the semiconductor industry after graduation to learn more about the chip fabrication process and the amount of work that goes into the design of micro electronic systems.
