The Artificial Intelligence and Predictive Analytics for Aerospace Systems         group (AI-PAAS)  laboratory’s mission is to develop innovative and breakthrough technologies for future space systems and to explore their applications to other high-tech sectors. In addition, the laboratory’s mission is to train future researchers and engineers in this field. The laboratory encompasses expertise in system design, system dynamics, control, sensors, actuators, intelligent control systems, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and miniature satellites. Major research areas of this laboratory are orbit dynamics and control, attitude dynamics and control, formation dynamics and control, under-actuated system dynamics and control, inflatable structures, fault diagnosis and prognosis, orbit and attitude control using environmental forces (such as solar radiation pressure, aerodynamic drag, and magnetic forces), and design and development of miniature satellites including pico-satellites and femto-satellites.

The AI-PAAS Laboratory is staffed by Principal Investigator, 2 Postdoctoral Students, 5 PhD Students, 2 Masters Students, 4 Undergraduate Students, and
2 Research Assistants.
