Afshin received his BSc degree in Aerospace Engineering from K.N.T University of technology in Iran and completed his MASc in the same major at Ryerson University under a joint supervision of Dr. Kumar and Dr. Alighanbari. He is now pursuing his PhD program and his filed of research includes: On-line/Off-line FDI and Fault Prognosis, System/Parameter Identification and Optimization. He is very much interested in fusing the Computer Science technologies with Aerospace achievements and hence, he has an extensive experience with VB, VB.Net, MATLAB/Simulink. In the SSDC lab he has been involved in the IMU, RW and Data Monitoring, both in their hardware (firmware) and software (GUI and data analysis) sub-sections.
