· Dr. Seshasai Srinivasan - Research Scientist

Seshasai

Seshasai Srinivasan has a PhD in Computational Science and Engineering from Michigan Technological University, USA. He is currently a Research Scientist and a part-time instructor at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of Ryerson University. Prior to this, Seshasai Srinivasan has held a postdoctoral position at the Laboratory of Food Process Engineering of Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH-Zurich) in Switzerland and a Research Associate position at the Engine Research Center of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

· Aram Parsa - Ph.D Student

Aram Parsa

Aram received his B.Sc. from Tehran Azad University in Iran and his M.Sc. degree from University of Liverpool, UK. During his master degree, he was involved in a vibration experiment and the related Finite Element Modeling Analysis. He joined Prof. Saghir research group as a PhD student in 2007. His research area is in Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Mass transfer and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The project studies the effect of temperature and vibration on a liquid mixture. He performed the analytical and numerical parts of the project as well as analyzing the experimental results.

· Md Abdur Rahman - Ph.D Student

Md Abdur Rahman

Md Abdur Rahman received his BSc in mechanical engineering from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) in March 2007 and MASc in mechanical engineering from Ryerson University in November 2008. Since September 2007, he has joined department of mechanical engineering at Ryerson University as a research and graduate assistant. His research interest is chemical physics and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).

· Elham Jafarsalehi - Ph.D student

Elham J

Elham recieved her B.Sc from University of Tehran in Iran and her M.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson University in May 2010. During her master degree, she gained experience working on metal powder compaction. She continued as a doctoral student under supervision of Dr. Ziad Saghir in 2010. Her research area is in thermodiffusion and mass transfer on metal liquid mixture.

· Amirhosein Ahadi- Ph.D student

Ahadi

Amirhossin holds a bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from K.N.T University of Technology, Iran in 2010. His work was mainly related to attitude control of satellites, hardware in-loop, and evolutionary optimization methods. He joined Micro-gravity lab in September 2010. He has recently received his Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering. He is now pursuing his Ph.D under supervision of Prof.Saghir. His research area is CFD, thermodiffusion in micro gravity environment. He is now working on image processing; developing a program for binary and ternary systems by the method of 2-D FFT.

· Hussam K. Jawad - Master student

Hussam Jawad

Received B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Baghdad, in Iraq.Since 2011 he has joined Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ryerson University as a graduate student.

His research interest is Natural Convection and Thermal Diffusion in Porous Media

· Armin Kianian - Master student

Armin Kianian

Armin received an honour bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree in 2010 from Ryerson University. His research areas include thermal design, HVAC, and Computer Aided Drafting/ Design. He joined Dr. Saghir’s research group in May 2011. His research objective is to study influence of g-jitter vibration on measurement of thermodiffusion coefficient by analysing (i.e. image processing) experimental data from ISS.

· Ahmad Khoshnevis

Ahmad Khoshnevis

Ahmad recieved his bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from university of Tabriz, Iran in 2009. He has recently joined the group in September 2011. His research area is CFD, multi-phase flow, heat and mass transfer. He is now working on the 3-D modelling of thermodiffusion experiments perfomed in ISS by having the effects of g-jitter vibrations into picture.
