> Arts Ability - People Involved

Kari Krogh and Maya Gislason are overseeing the evaluation research activity for the Arts Ability project. The original proposal for this project was developed by Sue Proctor and Deborah Stienstra of the Canadian Centre on Disability Studies. Dr. Stienstra and Gary Annable provided support to this project during its initial stages and Sue continues to oversee programming and training components of the project. Carolyn Coombs, a film maker with Springate Inc., is working in an integrated manner with the research and program components to produce a series of educational videos.

Program participants, support persons (family members, educational assistants within school, and staff located at the program sites) artists-teachers and administrators have been involved in contributing their insights. This information has been gathered through systematic observation, videotaped interviews, audio-recorded focus groups and written reports from artist-teachers, artist-apprentices and educational assistants.
